Castello USA CB-GM-8101 Modern Oval 47 in. Japanese Deep Soaking Solid Surface Tub

Castello USA Modern Oval 47 Inch Japanese Soaking Tub with Seat

Inspired by traditional Japanese ofuro tubs, the Castello USA Modern Oval is a 47 inch deep soaking tub with an integrated seat and contoured backrest. Instead of lying back, you sit upright in a deep basin and sink in up to your shoulders for a true spa soak. Its compact footprint makes it a smart choice for small bathrooms, condos and other spaces where a long tub will not fit.

The tub is made from solid surface, a non porous composite stone resin of acrylic, minerals and pigments. It is not plastic. Water and dirt cannot soak into it, so it resists stains, and it holds heat well, which is especially welcome in a deep soaking tub where you want the water to stay warm. Light scratches can be buffed out with fine sandpaper, as Castello shows in its care and repair video in the photo gallery.

Choose White (CB-GM-8101) or Black (CB-GM-8101-B). The Black finish is in stock. The White finish is available for preorder and ships in about 10 to 15 business days once stock is confirmed with Castello. The tub measures 47" long x 23" wide x 34" high with a 21" soaking depth, and it weighs 205 lbs empty. The stool shown in some photos is not part of the purchase.

Planning for an upper floor or condo? The tub holds about 46 gallons of water, which weighs about 384 lbs. Filled, the tub weighs about 590 lbs, plus the weight of the bather. We recommend checking with your contractor or building engineer that the floor can support it.

This tub ships by LTL freight carrier to curbside only, in a package measuring 50.7" L x 45" W x 40" H and weighing 326 lbs. Please allow extra time for delivery and plan to be available to receive, inspect and sign for the shipment.

Pure Bath Supply is an authorized Castello USA dealer. Every tub ships brand new and is covered by Castello USA's 1 year limited manufacturer warranty. Castello recommends installation by a licensed plumber or contractor.
